Another Winter Storm Approaches!
How many times will we hear that this winter? Well we have another one on the way tonight. It was not supposed to start snowing until sometime tomorrow morning, but by 20:00 hours that is exactly what it was doing. N.O.A.A. had predicted no precipitation during the day today, but the clouds were expected to roll in, and that is exactly what they did. So here we are.
For tonight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation for the start of the period, light scattered snow showers after midnight and snow by 04:00 hours. Well it is snowing now at 22:00 hours. The NEXRAD composite regional radar shows this storm blowi9ng up over Long Island Sound, but there are some scattered showers in advance of it working their way into Maine. I guess that is what we are seeing.
My Weather Stick is frowning just a little. All three of my electronic instruments forecast falling barometric pressure. Two of them fore cast unsettled weather while the La Cross Weather Station forecasts foul weather. The high temperatures today were 29.1°F, 25.2°F and 23.0°F in the usual order. Get ready, here comes the snow again.
