A Very Cold Day!!

N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation during the day today, and better cold. They were right on both accounts. Not only that, there were virtually no clouds all day. That made it a pretty day, but one that was best observed from inside a warm house, rather than being outside in it. Properly dressed it was possible to go out and do the usual chores and Outdoor Wood Boiler stoking, but not much else.
The N.W.S. still forecasts no precipitation for the overnight, but they do see the cloud cover increasing (15%/17%/62%/79%) in advance of a system scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. There just is not much more that I can add to this. There is nothing on the NEXRAD regional composite radar yet. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show a bit of snow coming tomorrow morning and lasting until sometime tomorrow evening.
My Weather Stick (as you can see) is responding to the70% relative humidity by smiling. (When I took the picture the relative humidity was 70%.) All three electronic instruments forecast fair weather with rising barometric pressure. The high temperatures were 16.3°F. 14.9°F and 18.9°F. Those were not very warm temperatures. I think that we will see clouds by morning and a little bit of snow before the end of the day tomorrow.

For the today the N.W.S. had all four temperature forecasts and relative humidity forecasts within the set limits. Once again they have done an excellent job of informing us what we could expect today. We may not have wanted it, but it is what we have gotten. Kudos to the N.W.S. for this set of forecasts.
