Finally! The Temperature Broke The Freezing Mark!
N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation today. The clear sky that I photographed this morning spread all the way to the east by noon. There were no clouds in the sky this evening. Further, the temperature has finally broken the freezing mark, and by quite a bit at over 38 degrees. That will certainly help get some of the ice and snow off the driveways and walkways. Already the temperature is below 28 degrees at 22:30 hours. That will make walking a bit treacherous on my driveway.
For the overnight we can expect no precipitation and very little cloud cover (1%/1%/0%/16%). That should allow the temperature to fall back into the single numbers as a result of the radiational cooling. The NEXRAD regional composite radar shows the storm has moved out of Eastern Maine. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are telling me to beware of the weather on Wednesday. It is not supposed to be very pleasant.
My Weather Stick is smiling for real. The 48% relative humidity is probably helping that. All three of my electronic instruments currently are calling for falling barometric pressure. Two of them forecast foul weather (I do not believe that) and the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions. I do not believe that either. We had high temperatures of 38.3°F, 32.4°F and 28.4°F. The temperature in the barn still has not caught up with the outdoor temperature. I think we will see clear skies, and cold temperatures overnight. Winter is almost half over.

The N.W.S. did not forecast the temperature today as well as they did last night. They missed the 13:00 and 16:00 hour points. Their effectiveness with the relative humidity is not much better than it was this morning. They missed the same points there as they did with the temperature. The offshore storm is gone, so that cannot be the reason.
