Red Sky This Morning, Clouds Gathering Today!

A Panorama Including My Weather Station
Through the noonhour there were no clouds. I was able to get out and about all day and get a number of errands run and the chores accomplished. N.O.A.A. had the predominant forecast right, and the cloud cover increased as they said it would. The storm system has been making its inexorable march from the south and west all day, and it certainly looks interesting.
The N.W.S. forecast no precipitation early with light snow moving in around 22:00 hours followed by heavier and more sustained snow for the second half of the night. The cloud cover does support that prediction (60%/80%/100%/100%). The storm moving in on the NEXRAD composite regional radar does look impressive, and it even looks impressive on the Weather Underground model forecast maps. I think we are in for the foot of flurries.
My Weather Stick is smiling with the relative humidity at 63%. Or maybe it is amused by our attempts to predict the weather. All three of my electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure and two of them forecast fair skies. The remote weather station forecasts unsettled weather. Looking at the wider picture on the composite radar and model forecast maps I think unsettled is the best we can call it. I think we are in for one heck of a storm this time, and it may well be a very mixed bag, particularly at the coast. I suspect a foot of wet heavy snow with a coating of ice on top of it. I am glad I got my running around today, so I can stay home tomorrow. The electronic instruments had high temperatures of 27.6°F, 24.3°F and 26.2°F.
High Temperature (°F): 27.6
Current Temperature (°F): 21.0
Relative Humidity (%): 63%
Dew Point (°F): 10.3
Barometric Pressure (in Hg): 30.30
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Wind Direction: Southwest
Wind Speed: 2.4
Wind-Chill (°F): 21.0
Precipitation (Type): None
Amount (Inches): 0.00
Cloud Cover (PM): Mostly Cloudy
Cloud Type: Altostratus
Weather Stick: Up
Comparative data for today.
Temperature:4°F/1.0°F/14°F/13.8°F/21°F27.5°F//22°F24.0°F
Relative Humidity: 65%/75%//49%/68%//39%/59%//38%/59%

The N.W.S. did well with the temperature today. They got them all right. They did not do as well with the relative humidity. It seems
that when it is windy they do not do as well. They only had the 07:00 forecast within 10% of the recorded relative humidity.
Forecast data for the overnight .
Temperature: 17°F/12°F/16°F/19°F.
Relative Humidity: 46%/58%/56%/56%
