A Very Pretty Day, And Pleasant Too!
The sky was cloudless almost all day with no precipitation just as N.O.A.A. predicted. The temperature also warmed up into the mid-thirties making it a very nice day. Of course the snowplow had a hand in reducing the pleasantness by pushing the ice from the storm of yesterday into our driveways. That was a bit of a mess. Toward evening there were some clouds that moved in, but they were the high thin cirrus type. These are in advance of another storm system, but it is not supposed to bring us much in the
way of precipitation.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation until early tomorrow morning. Then we are only supposed to have some light scattered snow showers, and the cloud cover forecast does support that (26%/58%/89%/95%). I was not able to get to the
NEXRAD radar or the Weather Underground model forecast maps because Wildblue still has not arrived to move my Satellite Dish from under the place where the icicle forms and disrupts my internet connection. There have been some problems with that connection all night.
My Weather Stick responds to the 83% relative humidity by frowning still. Two of my electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure while the remote weather station forecasts clouds also with rising barometric pressure. Apparently the high pressure system has not quite moved off, and the low pressure has not begun to arrive. If all is to be believed than later tonight the pressure will begin to fall, and we may get some snow showers, but not a lot of accumulation. My instruments recorded high temperatures of 31.6°F, 34.6°F and 32.0°F, and that helped make it a pleasant day all the way around.

The N.W.S. had all four temperature readings forecast correctly. The only relative humidity forecast they had correct was at 07:00 hours. The rest they missed by a significant amount. I do not have an excuse for that, it is just the way it is.
