As predicted by N.O.A.A. and me it got cold overnight and the sky remained quite clear. The arctic front has moved in and taken up residence at least for today. We had no precipitation overnight. There was not much compaction or melting of the snow pack overnight either.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation with a cloud cover to match (16%/%/15%/14%/12%). The temperature is not expected to reach 30°F and with the wind we are already experiencing it will feel a lot colder than it will be. The NEXRAD regional radar does not show any echoes in our area, and that is expected too. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also indicate that we will be clear today, but Sunday into Monday may be a different story. Whether that will be rain or snow is still in doubt.
My weather Stick is expressionless as a result of the 65% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair skies, while the remote weather station forecasts unsettled weather. I think it is wrong and we will have a bright sunny day with wind and cold temperatures. The low temperatures overnight are certainly an indicator of that (4.6°F/4.5°F/13.3°F). If you must be outside dress for the cold with layers.

The N.W.S. had all four forecast temperatures correct. The only relative humidity forecast that did not concur with the actual reading was at 19:00 hours, and that missed only by 3%. That was a pretty good job. I congratulate them.
