A Foggy Morning In Wilton Town!
Finally back on line with not help from Sat Supply or DSA. They refuse to move my Satelite Dish so I ;can maintain conection with the internet vial Wildblue.
From the look of things when I took Ike out this morning we did have some icing overnight. The sky was overcast with stratus clouds, it was raining lightly, and it was foggy. That fog is not permitting visibility of more than about 200 feet. The road was icy despite the sand truck having gone through and laid down a fair coating of sand. My driveway is becoming a sheet of glass, although if the temperature stays on the sunny side of the freezing mark that should help the situation some. Just to note, the low temperatures overnight were almost as high as the high temperatures of yesterday (28.7°F/28.6°F/31.8°F).
The N.W.S. forecasts freezing precipitation for the start of the day followed by rain for the rest of it. My connectivity with the internet this morning is very spotty, so I have not been able to see how far back the precipitation goes. Yesterday evening the Weather Underground model forecast maps had this system affecting us until around midnight tonight. I guess we will need to wait and see what happens. It does look like it is going to be a gray wet day today no matter what else happens. Of course the cloud cover looks like it will be quite accurate (100%/95%/89%/86%).
Surprise, my Weather Stick is frowning at the 90% relative humidity. My La Crosse Weather Station has a storm alert with falling barometric pressure. The other two electronic instruments forecast foul weather with falling barometric pressure. Gee, is that a surprise? Most of the snow is off the trees as a result of the fog that has gotten thicker as the morning has worn on. I think this will continue all day and into this evening. It is not going to be pleasant no matter what. At least w know that the fog will take its toll on the snowpack. By tonight the amount of snow on the ground should be much less than it was this morning. Spring is coming. I do not know when, but it is coming.

The N.W.S. only missed the 22:00 hour forecast, and that only by 1 degree. The only relative humidity point that was missed was at 01:00 hours, and that only by 1%. All in all with the kind of weather we had last night this was not a bad showing.
