Clear Skies To Start Then Partly Cloudy!

The prediction of light scattered snow showers was not accurate for Wilton, Maine. At this location we had cumulus clouds and quite a bit of wind, but no showers. I have heard there were some in other areas, and I guess that is why they call them scattered showers. Despite the temperature getting into the mid-twenties it did not feel warm due to the wind-chill. In fact it felt downright cold. Winter does not even seem to want to moderate let alone let go.
For the first half of the overnight the N.W.S. forecast some more of those elusive light scattered snow showers. There is precipitation forecast for the rest of the overnight. This is supported by the cloud cover forecast (22%/22%/20%/10%). The NEXRAD regional composite radar does not show any precipitation in this area of Maine. There is some precipitation south of us, but it seems to be moving due east, and probably will not affect us. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also indicate that this system will move off shore south of us, and not be a problem for tomorrow. There is a chance for some precipitation Friday night, but that may be a Southern Maine event, and it too may not affect us.
My Weather Stick is smiling and with 48% relative humidity that is indeed pleasant news. All three of the electronic instruments indicate rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair skies for the overnight while the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions. I think the clouds will dissipate and by 22:00 hours when the Lunar Eclipse begins we will have clear skies for that observation. It may be a bit cold, but I am going to try to get some decent photos of the event. Speaking of cold we never got out of the twenties today (26.0°F/28.6°F/27.5°F). That made things much less pleasant, although it was a reasonably pretty day. High Temperature (°F): 26.0
Current Temperature (°F): 22.2
Relative Humidity (%): 48%

The N.W.S. had the temperature forecast correctly for today. They missed the 13:00 hour and 16:00 hour relative humidity forecasts. They had it going in the right direction, just not quite far enough.
