A Pretty Day, But Cold And Windy!

oday we had no precipitation and very little cloud cover, just as N.O.A.A. predicted. It was cold and blustery as well. A very pretty day, but not one that I would have chosen to stay outside for very long. Short walks with Ike were about the most I could muster. I did start my training on my "indoor bicycle." The first mile is always the toughest, and I have now done that.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation, but they do foresee clouds moving in overnight (0%/6%/36%/71%). This is in advance of a storm that I mentioned a couple of days ago. That storm is still being forecast as a mainly southern New England event, with maybe a couple of inches in our area around Wilton, Maine. The storm is not showing up on the NEXRAD regional composite radar yet, and may not until tomorrow morning. The Weather Underground model forecast maps still call for it to be heavier along the coast than in our area as well. We will know on Saturday morning for sure.
My Weather Stick is still smiling and with 42% relative humidity who can blame it. Two of the electronic instruments forecast fair skies overnight while the remote weather station forecasts unsettled conditions. All of them are calling for the barometric pressure to continue rising. High temperatures today were 23.0°F, 19.3°F and 26.1°F. I think we will continue to be dry until around noon tomorrow, and sometime tomorrow afternoon we will see some very light snow. There may not even be enough to clear tomorrow afternoon or evening.

The N.W.S. had the temperature forecast correctly for today. They missed the two relative humidity points at 10:00 and 13:00
hours. The facts are the facts, and that is all I can say at this point.
