Finally The Sun Is Out, But It Is Getting Colder!

For today N.O.A.A. forecast one period of snow, and when I took Ike out this morning at about 05:30 it was flurrying just a little. After that sun did begin to break through, but it never got into the twenties for any length of time. The wind was blowing, although not when I was collecting data for my reports. That made for some nasty wind-chills.
For the overnight the N.W.S. is forecasting no precipitation with the sky becoming even clearer (15%/11%/6%/3%) allowing the temperature to fall like a stone into negative territory. Both the NEXRAD regional composite radar and the Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate a clear night, and a decent day tomorrow. Tomorrow night may be a different story. March is coming, and it may well roar like a lion with (guess what) another snow storm with 6" to 10" of new snow. How long can my snow gauge stay above snow?
My Weather Stick is finally smiling just a little, and that might be because it thinks we are nuts for living in this climate or maybe it is because the relative humidity is down to 65% for a change. All three of my electronic instruments are finally calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. What more can I say we are going to have a pretty night with the stars looking like diamonds on black velvet and the sun probably shining for a while tomorrow. Our high temperatures were not very high at 21.5°F, 29.5°F and 26.6°F. I might not have reset the Min/Max Thermometer from yesterday, but that may be real also. I keep hoping that the "green aura" on my willow trees indicates that spring is not far off. That may be a vain hope the way the weather pattern seems to have developed. Oh well, we will get what we will get, of that there is no doubt.

I do not think it was intentional, but the N.W.S. got three of the four predicted temperatures correct. They totally missed the 07:00 hour point. They did not get any of the relative humidity predictions correct. Try again guys, and maybe with the cold air moving in from the Arctic you can get things right today and tonight.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature:15°F/9°F/5°F/1°F.
Relative Humidity: 42%/52%/59%/68%
