Would You Believe It Is Bitter Cold This Morning?

The Results of the Last Snowstorm
How can I say this gently? It is bloody cold outside this morning. N.O.A.A. predicted cold weather overnight with no precipitation. They had that part of it right. They did not predict the depth of the cold air. Since I installed my weather station over 2 years ago I have never seen it get so cold that I had an OFL reading for the temperature and - - - for the relative humidity, but that is what I have right now. The lowest temperature I reached overnight was -21.8. The last relative humidity reading that I had was 67%. All of this has affected the wind-chill and dewpoint calculated readings. Looking back over the last two winters, while we have had some negative temperatures, there have been no temperatures as low as we have this morning.
For today the N.W.S. has predicted temperatures moderating all the way into the low twenties. The have also predicted no precipitation with some thin clouds moving in (10%/14%/20%/32%). This is in advance of another winter storm that is supposed to start early tomorrow morning and leave us with another foot (or nearly a foot) of new snow. If we get that much it may well mean the end of the visible portion of my snow gauge.
My Weather Stick is estimating the relative humidity at about 65%. I say that because it is expressionless, and between 65% and 69% relative humidity that is its reading. The La Crosse Weather Station forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts unsettled conditions with steady barometric pressure. (This is a first for this instrument). The remote weather station forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure also. One other thing to note is that the Min/Max Thermometer is also recording an OFL temperature. The low temperatures that I have been able to record are -21.8°F, OFL and 3.6°F. The critters in the barn are definitely keeping things warmer than it would be without them. Our low temperature must have been lower than the recorded -21.8, but I do not know if we will ever find out just how low it went. Brrrrr!

Comparative data for the overnight.

Relative Humidity: 42%/65%//52%/64%//59%/65%//68%/66%

The only forecast data that he N.W.S. had correct was at 01:00 and 04:00 hours, and the only parameter was the relative humidity. It got a lot colder than they predicted. In fact I have never seen the situation that currently exists with the La Crosse Weather Station.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature:0°F/13°F/20°F/22°F.
Relative Humidity: 65%/39%/32%/32%%
