Leaping Ahead Into March And Another Storm!
This was the coldest day we have had this season. N.O.A.A. predicted that we would have no precipitation today, but they did not get the depth of the cod quite right. I put wood in the Outdoor Wood Boiler because what we put in last night was nearly gone. This was a real testament to the efficiency of the system. I will put some more in tonight.
The N.W.S. forecasts light snow to start the evening with heavier snow to follow for the rest of the night. At least they are predicting that it will not be as cold tonight due to the cloud cover and snow. The NEXRAD regional composite radar indicates that we will get a little snow out of the first part of this system. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show the storm system reforming off the coast and clobbering us tomorrow.
My Weather Stick currently is smiling due to the 56% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I think the turn around is coming, they just have not seen it yet. This is just what we need, another storm to start another month. We have had enough, and are ready to start gardening, mowing lawns and doing outdoor things. I am ready for fishing season to start. High temperatures were recorded within the limits of my equipment at 21.3°F, OFL°F and 22.3°F.

The N.W.S. missed the temperature forecasts for the first half of the day. It was a lot colder than they predicted. The only relative humidity forecast they had correct was at 07:00 this morning. Not a real good showing on this one. The actual low temperature was probably much lower than I recorded due to the limits of the instrumentation.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature:17°F/15°F/13°F/11°F.
Relative Humidity: 62%/57%/65%/838%
