Temperatures In The Mid-Forties, Woo-Hoo!

N.O.A.A. predicted rain tapering to light scattered rain showers for today. They had that part about right, but the fog was the real major event today. You can see that in the photographs included here.

A bit of fog for April first

A bit more fog in another direction
On my way home from a meeting there were areas where the wind was starting to blow, and it moved the fog out. There were other areas where the fog was so thick it was hardly possible to see the lines on the road making driving a real challenge. For the overnight the N.W.S. predicts rain early tapering to light scattered showers and finally to no precipitation. Ike has been out and if what we are having is light rain then it must all be falling on him, because he looks like he has been out swimming in the lake. The NEXRAD regional composite radar does indicate that we will see a bit more rain overnight, and then it should stop.
The Weather Underground model forecast maps also indicate that this should go away before morning.
My Weather Stick is responding nicely to the 92% relative humidity by frowning deeply. All three of my electronic instruments call for foul weather with falling barometric pressure. Indeed the pressure is falling as compared to this morning's reading. Like all my instruments I think we will see a bit more precipitation before it ends, but it will end. We had some of the highest temperatures we have had since the first of the year (45.1°F/45.4°F/42.1°F), and that may indicate that eventually spring will get here.
High Temperature: 45.1
Current Temperature: 45.1
Relative Humidity: 92%
Dew Point (°F): 42.0
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Barometric: 29.57
Wind Direction: Southwest
Wind Speed: 10.0
Wind-Chill (°F): 34.4
Precipitation: Rain
Amount (Inches): 0.06
Cloud Cover (PM): Overcast
Cloud Type: Stratus
Weather Stick: Down

Comparative data for the overnight.
Temperature: 34°F/32.5°F//46°F/36.8°F//52°F/40.2°F//52°F/41.9*F
Relative Humidity: 100%/89%//79%/88%//66%/86%//66%/86% The N.W.S. missed three of the four predictions for the temperature, getting only the 08:00 hour forecast correct. They did no better with the relative humidity missing all but the 11:00 hour forecast for today. Again they did not do well today.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 39°F/35°F/46°F/41°F.
Relative Humidity: 59%/68%/63%/57%
