Where Did These Clouds Come From?

I was a late riser this morning, so I cannot say for sure that we had or did not have any fog. There was only a 4°F change in temperature overnight, so I would guess that the fog did not materialize. Also the recorded humidity was lower than expected which would not support any significant fog.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation, but some significant overcast (96%/94%/91%/83%). This could be problematical since, with that much cloud cover, there is always a chance for some rain to develop. These are not high thin clouds either, but nimbostratus which can produce rain. We will see what happens.
My Weather Stick continues to frown at the 84% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments do indicate that the barometric pressure is rising, and the sky should be fair. I do not see that with the level of cloudiness that I see out my west window. The temperature is above freezing, as were the low temperatures overnight (32.9°F/32.6°F/37.4°F), which is still having its affect on the snowpack. I think that the clouds are going to remain over us, and that will not allow the temperatures to rise into the fifties where it would be nice to have them. This will not be quite the stellar day that was predicted. Even the weather prognosticators on the television got this one wrong so far. They called for a very pleasant day, but I just do not see that happening.

Comparative data for the overnight.

Relative Humidity: 62%/75%//92%/81%//100%/83%//100%/84% The N.W.S. forecast the temperature correctly at all four times. They did get any of the relative humidity forecasts correct. The only one they were close on was the 23:00 hour point. They still missed all four times by more than 10%.
Forecast data for today.
