An East Wind That Blew Nobody Good!

N.O.A.A. had predicted no precipitation today, and they did have that correct. All the weather personalities that I looked at last night were forecasting a great day today. I do not think they counted on an East Wind blowing all day long. That wind kept the clouds here, the relative humidity high and the temperatures just barely into the forties (40.4°F/42.7°F/39.6°F). What we wound up with was another dismal, if dry day. I did not predict this one correctly either.
For the overnight the N.W.S. has us starting with fog, which I do not see here, mainly because of the East Wind that is still blowing. The prediction for the second half of the night is for no precipitation, and I believe that. The NEXRAD regional composite radar does not show any echoes in or around Maine, and the Weather Underground does not show any storms on the horizon until at least Wednesday. Gee, that is a surprise, a storm on a Wednesday. Give me a break!
My weather Stick has responded to the 75% relative humidity by frowning still. All three of my electronic instruments are calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The atmospheric pressure has risen, so they have that part right anyway. The sky is overcast which does not fit the N.W.S. cloud cover forecast (100%/82%/83%/64%). There certainly does not seem to be any dissipation of the cloud cover. Maybe that will happen by morning. Until the East Wind subsides I think we will continue to have significant cloud cover along with the dank, dismal weather. We need sunshine, blue skies and moderate temperatures.

Comparative data for today.
Temperature: 34°F/37.0°F//43°F/36.8°F//48°F/38.4°F//47°F/40.4*F
Relative Humidity: 82%/85%//57%/80%//47%/79%//49%/74% The N.W.S. forecast the temperature correctly only at 07:00 hours. They did no better with the relative humidity correctly forecasting only the 07:00 hour point. This definitely was not one of their good attempts at prognostication.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 37°F/35°F/34°F/32°F.
Relative Humidity: 75%/81%/87%/88%
