A Foggy Morning To Welcome Me Back!
Since I returned from my meetings last Monday I have been quite busy getting caught up on a number of fronts. As usual, when one takes some time off it takes twice as much time to get back into the groove of everyday living as you took off.
Upon arising the fog was about as thick as pea soup. The weather is still cooler than it should be at this time of year. I do not have the forecast data from last night , but the recorded data is shown below along with the forecast data for today. The sun does appear to be trying to burn off the fog, and if it does we should have a nice warm day.
The N.W.S predicts that we will start the day with fog, but that will burn off by 11:00 hours resulting in a rapid rise in the temperature and fall in the relative humidity for this area of Western Maine. At least we are not expecting any further precipitation today. We had enough over the weekend.
My Weather Stick is back to frowning at the 92% relative humidity. Two of my electronic instruments currently forecast foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts unsettled weather in the barn with steady barometric pressure. As I sit here writing this report I see the fog dissipating, and the sun getting stronger. Our low temperatures overnight were 39.7°F, 41.6°F and 43.9°F. At least they were above freezing.
