N.O.A.A. had predicted no precipitation overnight, and we had none. There were some altostratus clouds when I took Ike out for his morning constitutional, but they have now cleared (09:00 hours). As I look out my west window I see the leaves on the maples and the flowers on the cherry trees and apple trees are finally out. I guess it is time to get my fence operational, so the goats can get outside to graze, and I can get my barn clean.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation again, but the cloud cover is expected to increase (18%/14$/41%/50%). The NEXRAD regional composite radar is not showing any storms anywhere in the region this morning. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show that the only possibility for any rain may be on Thursday, but they will be light scattered showers, if there are any at all. At this point my lawn also needs some attention with the bladed instrument (lawn mower).
My Weather Stick is smiling at the 48% relative humidity. It was cool when I took Ike out, but the temperature is rebounding nicely under the influence of the bright sunshine. The altostratus clouds of earlier this morning have dissipated, and the sky is now clear. I suspect that the storm currently showing up on the Weather Underground Model Forecast Maps will continue to move east out to sea, and the only effect we will see will be some clouds later today. All in all this should be a nice day.
