Lots Of Clouds Around, But No Precipitation!

For today N.O.A.A. predicted light scattered showers, and while there were clouds in our skies all day, it was not until late this afternoon that we say any showers here in Wilton. Those showers were very light and well scattered. We saw a couple on our way to Phillips, Maine on the way to a meeting there. My lawn was mowed today, and the bulk of the garden has had its first tilling. Little did I realize how thick the weeds got last year. Again I reiterate that with any luck that will not be the case this year. I do have a plan of attack to keep the weeds under control, and that involves using the hillier furrower to make the growing beds.
The N.W.S. once again forecasts fair weather with no precipitation during the overnight. The cloud cover is also supposed to decrease through the overnight hours (59%/32%/7%/1%). The NEXRAD regional composite radar still shows the storm south of us, but it is moving east and not north. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that the showers we experienced earlier are moving away as well, and the skies are expected to clear. Saturday however is a different matter. It does appear that we may finally see some precipitation then. At least I may get the garden finished. I do intend to till it at least twice more.
My Weather Stick is still expressionless at 81% relative humidity. All three of the electronic instruments call for the barometric pressure to continue to fall. I guess the front has not gotten all the way by us. Two of them call for the weather to remain foul, while the remote weather station sees cloudy conditions. I missed the high temperature from the remote weather station, but the other two were 69.2°F and 71.8°F. That is what I get for staying out late on a "school night". I think the sky will continue to clear (I could not see any clouds when I got home) and the temperature will moderate. I also think we are done with the precipitation from this system.

The N.W.S. had the temperature and relative humidity forecast correctly at all four specified times. There is nothing I can add to that.
