A Little Foggy, But A Pleasant Morning!
When I got up this morning there was some light ground fog, just as the N.O.A.A. forecast. It did not take long for that fog to burn off though, and be replaced by bright sunshine. With the clear skies the temperature fell a bit faster and farther than they predicted. It still was a very pleasant night. We did not go to see the fireworks display, but we were able to hear them down on the pond. One might have though there was some sort of battle going on.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts little cloud cover (20%/21%/21%/16%) and no precipitation. That should allow me to get some more work done in the garden, and cleaning more of the barn. I now have three of the six stalls clean which allows for the housing of 30 animals based on 15 square feet per animal in loose housing. With the last three clean there should be room for about 60 goats and sheep. I doubt that I will ever get that big, but if someone wanted to they could. The NEXRAD regional composite radar shows only some ground clutter around our area of Wilton, Maine. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are now saying that we should not see any precipitation until sometime late Tuesday afternoon. That should allow the garden to be finished as well as the barn.
My Weather Stick currently is frowning at the 89% relative humidity, but that should change as the morning wears on. This should be a good one to work outside. There is finally agreement among my digital instruments. They are all calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I think that is probably a reasonable forecast. We had low temperatures in the forties and fifties overnight (48.5°F/51.1°F/57.4°F). I look forward to a couple more very nice summer days.

The N.W.S. missed the temperature forecasts at 02:00 and 05:00 hours this morning. They also missed the relative humidity forecasts at
20:00 and 23:00 hours last night. Once again I only read them, I do not write them.
