A Fine Day For Two In A Row!
We were not supposed to have any precipitation today according to the N.O.A.A., and they got that right. From what I saw they also got the cloud cover correct as well. Once again I spent time in the barn and the garden. Those seem to be my favorite places. I do have some beans up and growing, and now they should do better without the competition from the mustard weed and Galinsoga. This is taking way too long to get it all done, but maybe I will get some produce from the garden yet. It will be better than nothing. I may even get the barn completely cleat as well. It has definitely been a challenge.
The N.W.S. is predicting the same as they did last night, and that is half the night with no precipitation and half the night with fog. The cloud cover is the real shocker (20%/14%/6%/0%), and I will be very interested to see the 0% cloud cover tomorrow morning. Both the NEXRAD regional composite radar and the Weather Underground model forecast maps are not showing any storms headed our way, and that may make it very nice tomorrow. I look forward to it. We may even squeak out another one on Monday.
My Weather Stick is smiling this evening, and with 57% relative humidity I am smiling too. Two of m digital instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure, while the remote weather station forecasts clouds with falling barometric pressure. I do not believe the latter. I tend to go with the N.W.S. tonight and suggest that we will see a clear and pleasant period. The high temperatures reached into the eighties, except in the barn that could only manage the upper sixties (83.8°F/81.2°F/68.5°F). This is one of the best holiday weekends I can remember in years. We usually have rain on at least one day. I can remember people leaving "Vacationland" because of the foul weather we have had on some of these weekends.

The N.W.S. forecast all four temperatures correctly today. They started out well with the relative humidity, but then missed the 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00 hour forecasts for the relative humidity. Again I paraphrase "I do not create them, I just record what my instruments see."
