It Appears That Change Is In Our Future!!

Wilton

For the overnight the N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation for the entire period. They did get that part right. They also called for the cloud cover to gradually increase, which it did. Right now it is a bit humid and the overcast is increasing slowly. Currently my anemometer is not operating correctly, so the best I can report is the Beaufort scale based on observation of the wind's effect on the trees. As soon as the anemometer is back on line I will go back to reporting from it.
For today the N.W.S. starts us with a nice day, but things are expected to go downhill from there with light scattered showers in the forecast for the second half of the day. The cloud cover forecast does support that as you can see here (52%/64%/76%/85%). The NEXRAD regional composite radar shows the storm system in Western New Hampshire, and it is continuing its inexorable march toward us. I still hope to get the tomatoes, peppers, beets and beans in the ground this morning. The Weather Underground model forecast maps continue to indicate a good day today for working outside, but rain tomorrow for the entire day. Saturday is forecast to be nice, but Sunday is not. We will see how this plays out.
My Weather Stick is reaching for the ground again due to the 88% relative humidity and 51.8°F as shown below.

88% Relative Humidity/51.8°F

There is some disagreement among my digital instruments. My La Crosse Weather Station forecasts unsettled weather with steady barometric pressure. My La Crosse Min/Max Thermometer predicts foul weather with falling barometric pressure. Finally, the remote weather station forecasts unsettled weather with steady barometric pressure. They did record the following low temperatures overnight (48.9°F/49.1°F/54.0°F). I think we will have a good working day today. I hope I will be able to get my outside work done so I can relax tomorrow while it is raining. Low Temperature (°F): 48.9 Current Temperature (°F): 51.8
Relative Humidity (%): 88% Dew Point (°F): 48.3 Heat Index (°F): N/A

The N.W.S. had the temperature forecast correctly for the overnight. They missed all four of the relative humidity levels for the same period. Therefore they have earned demerits for their efforts.
Forecast data for today.
