The N.O.A.A. had it right all day today. We have had heavy rain, light rain and moderate rain all to the tune of almost 0.60 inches. We have had enough for a while, at least in my estimation. If this continues we will wind up with a fifth year of seed rotting in the ground before it can produce. I really hope that does not happen.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts rain for the first half of the period and light scattered showers for the second half. That certainly fits with the cloud cover forecast they have made (90%/90%/91%/90%). The NEXRAD regional composite radar shows the bulk of this storm in Eastern Maine, but there are still some showers moving in our direction from Western Vermont. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that we will see some more storms overnight, but we should see a decent day tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday. Beyond that, who knows?
My Weather Stick is still pointing down in response to the 88% relative humidity and 56.4°F temperature.
My digital instruments are still confused and call for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I am afraid that I still do not believe them since we have overcast skies and rain still falling. They did record high temperatures in the low sixties wherever you were around my property (62.9°F/63.4°F/61.2°F). I think this weather will continue overnight, but I may have the chance to plant the tomatoes and potatoes tomorrow. I probably will not be able to till the ground that needs it until late Tuesday or Wednesday. I can still live in hope.

The N.W.S. had the four temperature forecasts within limits today, but they missed one of the relative humidity levels. So, once again they have earned demerits rather than Kudos.
