The fog that the N.O.A.A. forecast was not in evidence this morning at 06:00 hours. It may have been there earlier over Wilton, but I did not see it. Ike and I went out for his morning constitutional, and it was quite pleasant. The garden and the lawn will get considerable attention today when I get home from running my errands. The garden is drying out as it should, and by this evening I should know if any of my crops are up, or if I need to do some replanting.
The N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation today for our predominant weather. The cloud cover forecast shown here surely supports that (1%/1%/2%/3%). There is some precipitation in the southwest corner of the NEXRAD regional composite radar. It appears to be moving slowly in our direction. According to the Weather Underground model forecast maps it does not seem to be slated to arrive here until around 00:00 hours on Friday. So even if I do not get everything done in the garden or on the lawn today I should have some time tomorrow to get it finished. Tomatoes, potatoes beans and beets need to be planted. Those areas where the weeds are trying to gain a foothold need to be tilled to stop them in their tracks.
My Weather Stick has responded appropriately to the relative humidity and temperature as seen below.
Relative Humidity 87% /Temperature 51.6°F
My chicks survived their first night here. I did need to move my receiver for the remote weather station outside, so I am still getting a reasonably accurate low and high in the carriage house, and I will report that (46.2°F/46.1°F/50.9°F). The temperature in the coop is also being recorded, so I can monitor their progress. All three of the digital instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. This should be the pick of the week, so if you are on vacation this would be the day to get outside and enjoy the weather around central Maine. If I get everything done today that needs doing I may be able to go fishing tomorrow. Wow, that would be a positive change.

The N.W.S. had the temperature forecast correctly overnight. In fact they were very close on those forecasts. They did, however miss 3 of the 4 relative humidity forecasts. Once again they do not receive Kudos for their efforts. Demerits are the order of the day for their forecasts of the relative humidity.
