Just A Little More Rain Overnight!!

Wilton

It does appear that the N.O.A.A. did get the predominant weather correct overnight.  We did have just a bit more rain, so we may not have had the forecast steady rain early in the overnight period.  We did wind up with another 0.04" of precipitation during the entire period.  When I took Ike out there were still puddles in the driveway and the pavement on the road was still wet, so I can only assume that it had stopped raining shortly before we went out.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts light scattered showers for the entire period.  Their estimate of the cloud cover would indicate that showers are possible this morning, but that we may see some clearing this afternoon (100%/86%/73%/75%).  There are still some showers on the NEXRAD regional composite radar to our west, and they are moving in our direction.  The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that the system should break up during the afternoon, and we may actually see some sun and blue sky this afternoon.  That would be a real switch.  I may even be able to mow the lawn this afternoon and get some tomatoes in the ground.  That would be a good thing.
My Weather Stick is still trying to bend down and around to touch the carriage house wall with the relative humidity at 92% and the temperature at 56.1°F

All three of my digital instruments continue their hallucinogenic ways calling for fair skies and rising barometric pressure.  It is true that the barometric pressure has gone up, but the fair skies are yet to be a reality.  The recorded low temperatures were all in the mid-fifties overnight (53.9°F/53.8°F/55.0°F).  I guess we can expect to see things improve through the day with tomorrow and Wednesday being among the best we have seen for a while.  I am hopeful anyway that we will see an end to this inclement weather.

The N.W.S. had the four temperature forecasts and relative humidity levels within the set limits overnight.  They have earned Kudos for their overnight forecasts.
