A New Month And No Change In the Weather!!
For the overnight the N.O.A.A. forecast rain. Gee, we ended the month of June with rain, and had a total of 10.29" by the end of it. Now overnight we have had a little more with 0.08" before noon today. During the overnight we had 0.02". Since my last report (I have my recorded data) on the 18th of June my internet connection via the Wildblue Satellite has been spotty at best. The clouds and rain certainly seem to interrupt the signal. I have seen my internet connection get lost again in the past couple of minutes. Right now I am going to lunch, and maybe it will come back by the time I am done. I am back and we are now up to almost 0.25" of rain today.
For today the N.W.S. starts us with light scattered showers, followed by a period of rain and then some more light scattered showers for the rest of the day. They are already right about the predominant weather. They also predict that we will have 100% overcast for the entire day. There is still quite a bit of rain on the NEXRAD regional composite radar to our south, and it is headed in our direction. The Weather Underground Model Forecast Maps do not show us having anything but rain and scattered showers until at least Sunday. I think it can stop at any time now, and we can start having some dry summer weather, but that is just my opinion.
My Weather Stick is reaching for the ground again due to the relative humidity at 93% and temperature at 60.4°F as shown below.

93% Relative Humidity/60.4°F
Currently there is no disagreement among my digital instruments. They all call for fair weather with rising barometric pressure. Of course it is raining outside, along with being overcast and generally unpleasant. You can see what has happened with my corn in the following picture. The weeds are doing very well, the lawn grows apace and if I set foot in the garden I will be up to my knees in mud.

This is the fifth year I have had the weather turn against my garden. I still have time to get some of my crops in and get a reasonable harvest, but it will take some drying out to get it done. The low temperatures were in the upper fifties and low sixties overnight (59.9°F/57.4°F/60.8°F). It was however very humid, making sleep a bit more difficult.

The N.W.S. had the temperature forecast correctly for the overnight, as well as the relative humidity. They get Kudos for their efforts overnight.
