The N.O.A., unfortunately, had the predominant weather forecast right for today. The showers were scattered as I noted when I drove to Augusta this morning and back this afternoon. Sometimes the rain was heavy and sometimes it was light, but it was always there. We are now just 0.15" from 3" for the month, and that is more than enough. It can stop and dry out any time now.
The forecast by the N.W.S. is for more light scattered showers overnight. The estimate of the cloud cover appears to agree with that forecast (84%/89%/95%/83%. While there are fewer showers on the NEXRAD regional composite radar than earlier, there are still some out there. The Weather Underground model forecast map still contends that tomorrow will be nice, and that weather is expected to last until Thursday. Friday is forecast to have some more rain for us.

All three of my digital instruments call for fair skies and rising barometric pressure. They are still hallucinating. They did record the high temperatures you see here (64.7°F/66.4°F/57.7°F). For the next few weeks I will be using the remote weather station to monitor the temperature in the chicken coop to keep my meat chicks warm. We will see how that goes. I am still hoping for some dry weather so I can get the rest of my garden planted and my lawn mowed.

The N.W.S. does not seem to be able to get all eight forecast data points correct two times in a row, and today was no exception. They did miss a couple of the relative humidity levels, and as a result do not get Kudos tonight.

Maine Weather
That is why I live now in Nevada, sunny 95 percent of the time, and I wake up and it is already in the mid 80's. Love it and I only visit Maine. I have to pack 3 seasons of clothers for each visit, as you never know if it's going to be cold, rain or just plain muggy.
