By the time I got up this morning the fog was gone, but the garden is still quite wet, and even the roads showed evidence of the presence of the fog. Ike was quite pleased to get outside. We seem to be using a great deal less wood in the outdoor wood boiler with the advent of the warmer temperatures. This morning we were a bit cooler than yesterday morning due to the clearer skies. The temperature has already warmed up to over 74°F (10:38). We may actually have some summerlike temperatures today. I guess the N.O.A.A. had the predominant forecast right overnight.
For today the N.W.S. has predicted fog early on, then no precipitation and finally light scattered showers for the afternoon. The cloud cover is expected to increase, and that would support the possibility of those scattered showers this afternoon (3%/34%/69%/80%). I did not see anything, except on small batch of showers at the Maine border with Canada and New Hampshire, on the NEXRAD regional composite radar. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that the weather is going to go downhill this afternoon and through the day tomorrow and Monday. They forecast Tuesday to be a better day.
My Weather Stick has recovered nicely from its downturn with 64% relative humidity and 70.3°F temperature.
My digital instruments currently call for fair skies with rising barometric pressure, and that is all three of them. They did record low temperatures in the upper forties and low fifties (47.3°F/47.3°F/51.3°F). I think (hope) that we will have a good day to get the rest of the garden tilled and planted. This needs to happen before the weeds take over again. With the extreme rain for the last several years I have not had much luck with my garden. It has either been planted too late or the weeds took over before I could get them tilled under. I am hoping for a better year this year.

The N.W.S. got the temperature and relative humidity correct overnight. Kudos are in order for their efforts.
