It's Snowing - Again!

Snow and Ice Are on the Way

Friday, 8:30 am: Another storm is on its way this afternoon and evening. We are supposed to get several inches of snow, somewhere in the range of 8 to 10 inches.

Thursday, 9:40 am: Another cold night, and tonight is supposed to be colder. Winter life in northern Maine is about bundling up, staying warm and still getting things done. Monday morning, Van Buren Maine was the coldest spot in the Lower 48 States.

Charles Ames is a former educator and world traveler. He and his wife [Ruth] moved to Grand Isle Maine from Arizona in 1998. They reside in a log home on 60 acres of wooded land. They share their home with five dogs, two parrots, two parakeets and a goldfish.

Besides amateur weather observing, his other hobbies include; ham radio, astronomy, bird-watching, travel and fine dining, when and where he can find it.
