As the N.O.A.A. forecast last night we had no precipitation overnight, and around 22:00 hours the clouds started to move in. The temperature did stabilize around 02:00 hours, but we still dropped into the single numbers.
Well, what do you know, we had no precipitation today, just as the N.O.A.A. forecast. Not only that but, comparatively speaking, it was just about warm. (Just above freezing and we call it warm.) We will melt in our summer on July 4th.
The N.O.A.A. forecast of no precipitation overnight was on the mark. The temperature did fall like a rock due to the clear skies overnight and radiational cooling. My moustache and beard froze instantly when I took Ike out for his morning constitutional.
The N.O.A.A. forecast for the predominant weather had it about right. We did not have any precipitation today. The temperature did not break the freezing mark here.
The dawn came up over the cumulus clouds to our east as I took Ike out for his morning constitutional. The ditches along the road in front of my property are more than full. The pile is now about 5 feet above the top of the ditch. So they have plowed snow about 11 feet high in that ditch.

Finally around noon even the flurries ended. The amount of snow we had ranged from 30" to 40" depending on where the measurement was taken. It was wet heavy snow, and not at all easy to clean up.

It is Monday morning, and we now have 2' of new snow on the ground. This was a bit more than the N.O.A.A. forecast for the overnight, although they did suggest that there might be in excess of 18" of new snow out of this storm.

The N.O.A.A. forecast was for light snow this morning with heavier snow moving in for the afternoon. Here, in Wilton, Maine, we did not have any snow showers this morning, and it was just as I started this report around 19:00 hours that the snow started to fall.

We did not have any precipitation overnight, with the exception that some of the melting snow in my rain gauge registered at 0.04". That brings us up to 0.89" of melting snow or rain, and we have had 75" of snow for the season. The clouds did move in just as the N.O.A.A.

I left for a meeting early this morning leaving both last night's and this morning's data unpublished. They will be posted when I complete the data from tomorrow morning. Amazing how hindsight is 20/20. We did have a very pleasant day in Brunswick, Me.
