It Is Cold This Morning, Not Frigid, Just Cold!!

Date: 2 /21/2009 AM The N.O.A.A. forecast was for some light snow to start the overnight, and then no precipitation for the rest of it. The temperature was supposed to drop into the upper teens, and that would not have been bad.

This Was A More Difficult Storm To Clean Up After!

Date: 2 /20/2009 PM The sun was supposed to remain hidden all day today according to the N.O.A.A. forecast. It did sneak out for a while, and then this afternoon the clouds rolled in again. This was not one of the best days, but I did get the snowblowing done late this afternoon.

The Snow Has Stopped And The Sky Is Clearing Slowly

When I first stepped out this morning the sun looked like a frosted light bulb shining through the clouds. The snow had stopped, and while the sky was overcast there were indications that some clearing might take place this morning.

The Snow Continues To Fall, But It Is Slowing Down!!

Date: 2 /19/2009 PM We seem to be having some breaks this afternoon in the snow. There seems to be very little of it falling right now. During the day today we have had another 2 inches of snow, and that brings our total for the season to 75". That compares with 63" on the same date last year.

It Started To Snow Last Night, And It Still Is!!

According to the N.O.A.A. we were supposed to have snow falling all night long. Well, when I stepped outside this morning the snow was still gently falling. We have had about 6 inches of the white stuff, and as I said it is still falling gently.

Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Put Away Your Snowblower!!

We were supposed to have light scattered snow showers all day according to the N.O.A.A. Well, we did not. In fact it was a very nice sunny day until late this afternoon when the clouds began to move in.

It Is Very Cold Again This Morning!

Just as the N.O.A.A. predicted the radiational cooling kicked in. Toward the end of the overnight the temperature fell like a stone right into the single numbers. They were also correct in their assessment of the predominant weather for the overnight. We did not have any precipitation.

What A Fine Day For a Road Trip!

Early this morning Ike and I got a few things done around the farm. The overcast started to break up as the N.O.A.A. suggested. It was cold but not unbearable, so he and I decided after 10:00 hours to go for a ride.

Despite The Forecast, There Were No Snow Showers Overnight!!

The N.O.A.A. forecast light scattered snow showers overnight. We did not have any here in Wilton, but there may have been some elsewhere. When I took Ike out this morning for his morning constitutional the sky was overcast.

There Were Light Scattered Snow Showers Around All Day!!

02/16/2009 PM I had some travelling to do today, and I was in and out of snow showers all day. Late this afternoon we did get into some sunshine, and that drove the temperature just over the freezing mark. I guess the N.O.A.A. had the predominant weather forecast correct for today.
