Well, This Is A Surprise, Snow! I Did Not See That Coming!!

The N.O.A.A. did blow the predominant forecast, in addition to the temperature and relative humidity forecasts, for the overnight. I was most surprised to see snowflakes falling when I first went out at 05:45. That snow is still falling gently at 06:30.

It Was Way Too Warm To Snow Today! WooHoo!!

The N.O.A.A. forecast called for light scattered snow showers today. Early this morning the temperature went above freezing, and it stayed there all day. I must give them credit though they had us close to the line between the snow showers and no precipitation.

This Was A Warmer Night Than We Have Had In A While!

At 07:38 this morning my Anemometer began to work again. I guess there is some sort of Gremlin in the line that is affecting it. That is almost 24 hours (08:22 hours) since the last reading from the anemometer. I have no idea what is going on. The N.O.A.A.

It Was A Pretty Day With Lots Of Wind Making It Bitterly Cold!!

We actually reached the thirty degree mark, not quite above freezing, but close. As the N.O.A.A. forecast this morning we did not have any precipitation. The wind did blow at about 5 to 10 mph with gusts much higher than that at times. It made it feel much colder than it was.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Have a lovely day with your Sweetie. Today is a great day for lovers. As the N.O.A.A. suggested last night we had no precipitation, but we did have a lot of radiational cooling. Right now it is cold, not the bone chilling cold of last month, but with the wind it is very uncomfortable outside.

The Wind Is Making Up For The Cold Temperatures!!

The air temperature was in the upper teens to low twenties today, but that wind had more teeth than most sharks. I did not want to stay outside, and neither did Ike.

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid--Friday The Thirteenth!!

The N.O.A.A. forecast called for some significant snow overnight, but it just did not happen. Apparently there was enough space between the end of the storm and the advent of the cold weather system that the snow just did not happen.

Still Not Freezing And Raining This Afternoon!!

The N.O.A.A. missed the predominant forecast. They had it right for the first half of the day, but we did not get any snow during the second half. Every time I took Ike out for his exercise it was raining. Sometimes it was raining hard and other times softly and gently. It was still rain.

It Is Still Warm, But With The Warmth Came Rain!!

The N.O.A.A. forecast for the overnight was for Ice. The temperature did not allow for that, and we had rain instead. My driveway and walkway are a sheet of glass as the rain has mixed with the layer of snow to form a sheet of ice.

Wow! This Has Been An Incredibly Warm Day. We Need More!!

We did not have the Ice here that was predicted by the N.O.A.A.. It certainly was nice to have the temperature in the fifties though. I would need to go back and look, but I think that the last time we saw those temperatures was in November. The N.W.S. is still predicting Ice for the overnight.
