The Clouds Acted As An Insulating Blanket Overnight!

While we did have plenty of clouds overnight we did not have any precipitation as the N.O.A.A. forecast. That cloud cover probably caused the temperature to remain quite a bit higher than they predicted.

The Clouds Have Thickened And Lowered All Day!!

I know we were supposed to have some light scattered snow showers this afternoon, but the only thing we got were thickening and lowering clouds. Those have continued into this evening, and right now it is about as dark as the inside of a pocket.

We Did Not Quite Make It To Sub-Zero Temperatures!!

The N.O.A.A. forecast of no precipitation for the overnight was correct. Their estimate of the cloud cover was quite a bit lower than we actually had. As a result of that the temperature did not fall as fast or as far as they expected.

It Was A Bright Day, But We Did Not Get Out Of The Mid-Twenties!!

The two words for today were cold and windy. The wind certainly made it feel a great deal colder than it was. The mid-twenties can feel quite balmy at this time of year, if there is no wind. Well, today there was wind, and quite a bit of it.

The Temperature Fell Like A Stone Overnight Into The Single Numbers!!

I hope everyone enjoyed the respite we had yesterday from the freezer. That is probably the last of that kind of weather we will see until the end of the month. When I took Ike out I found that the N.O.A.A. forecast of no precipitation was not 100 % correct.

The Clouds Parted And The Temperature Rose To The Mid-Forties!!

We were supposed to have light scattered snow showers all day today according to the N.O.A.A., and we did not. The clouds broke this afternoon, and we wound up with temperatures in the upper thirties to mid-forties. The one negative to the afternoon was the wind which gusted at nearly 20 mph.

Warm Air Has Finally Arrived For Our Thaw However Brief!

Overnight the N.O.A.A. forecast called for light scattered snow showers, but I could see no evidence of them when I took Ike outside for his morning constitutional. Almost all the icicles that were hanging from the eves of my roof have fallen.

It Was A Dull Day. I Am Glad I Had An Indoor Activity To Attend!!

For today the N.O.A.A. forecast for the predominant weather was correct. We did not have any precipitation. Their estimate of the cloud cover was a bit low. The sky remained overcast for the most part with the sun appearing as a brilliant but muted disk all day.

Once Again The Temperature Has Fallen Below 0°F With The Sky Nearly Clear!

The N.O.A.A. forecast for the predominant weather was correct. We did not have any precipitation overnight. The sky remained mostly to partly fair allowing the temperature to freefall to sub-zero levels again this morning. Below 0
